God has used my own children to reveal my ugliness in the past. I praise Him for allowing me to see it before it was too late. I love you and thank you for sharing.Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05391446772873883037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7226797882437177854.post-25478439732204002082010-02-15T17:23:14.063-06:002010-02-15T17:23:14.063-06:00Thank you for being SO honest Anna! The Lord has been SO gracious to reveal that to you, and I too struggle with "contracting" things by touch and want to surrender that to Jesus b/c I want to love like Jesus does! But like Amanda wrote, you sacrificed that night, and it was difficult and the Lord saw that and found you worthy to be corrected because He loves you!!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13123842957954070082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7226797882437177854.post-2088886253882646212010-02-11T23:06:10.613-06:002010-02-11T23:06:10.613-06:00This honesty is why I love you, anna melvin! prayi...This honesty is why I love you, anna melvin! praying for you. glad you got to experience this despite it being hard.Leticia Anahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07459287629436885894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7226797882437177854.post-7396135120504159822010-02-11T21:43:49.068-06:002010-02-11T21:43:49.068-06:00Anna, thank you for your transparency and thank y...Anna, thank you for your transparency and thank you for taking the time to write all of this out. These situations do show us what we value and don't value in life. There was a man on our trip that loved Jean more than any other child he had met. For me, I struggled, like you. I wasn't afraid of "catching" anything as I have held and touched worse, I just didn't know how to relate to him at all. I was afraid to love or give to something that couldn't respond in turn at all. I just couldn't "see" Jean the way others could.

For what it's worth, you sacrificed a nigh of sleep to watch over him and that is worthy. God sees that. Thank you for all you did for the "least of these". I always say that these trips to visit them change us the most. We think WE are going to be a blessing to them, but almost always THEY are the blessing to us.Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07799698677074756334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7226797882437177854.post-63502781832901095342010-02-11T20:11:16.827-06:002010-02-11T20:11:16.827-06:00I hear you. I am so thankful that God promises to continue that good work he started in us, but I will never be ok with the fact that others have to suffer in the process. :( I love you.Missyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02625495174879175068noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7226797882437177854.post-75050503301228597272010-02-11T19:23:40.968-06:002010-02-11T19:23:40.968-06:00Thank you for writing this.Thank you for writing this.CPGMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11855898895212955319noreply@blogger.com
